The Miss Greater Watertown Outstanding Teen program is an official fundraiser for the Miss Greater Watertown Scholarship program.  Teens are invited to compete annually to learn more about the Miss America Program and develop their skills at becoming an Outstanding Teen.

Name: Nicole (Nikki) Nemense

Platform: Dance : A Path to Positive Self Esteem
Hometown: Watertown

Nikki is an honor student at Watertown High School. She has danced competitively for 10 years in tap, jazz, lyrical, and ballet and has won two titles and many special awards. She also plays basketball for Watertown High School as well as a member of the interact club and student council representative. In her spare time, Nikki likes spending time with her family and friends just relaxing. She is an avid Patriot football fan!

Nikki's platform means a great deal to her because she lives it! Her love of dance and the positive effect that it has had on her life is what has made her develop her platform so deeply. She feels it a privilege to reach out to young girls and share her knowledge and love of dance and to demonstrate how dance or any other special talent can help a young girls "find her niche" and ultimately raise their self esteem.

The program concentrates on developing confidence, poise, community service, interview skills and public performance.  

The Miss Greater Watertown Pageant is a Scholarship Program associated with the Miss Connecticut and Miss America pageant system.

 

The 2011 Miss Westbury's Outstanding Teen Pageant was held on Sunday, November 27th in conjunction with the Miss Greater Watertown Pageant at Gordon Swift Middle School.
