Marissa Ranalli is currently a senior, Business Management major at Stonehill College, dedicated to the Platform of
Self-Esteem: Learning to Love. At Holy Cross High School, Marissa was a member of the Musical Theater Club and the National Honor Society, the President of the Student Government, the Secretary of the Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Program, and a tutor for the Children’s Community School. She was awarded the Youth-to-Youth Volunteer Award for her visionary creation of the Heart-to-Heart mentoring program between Holy Cross High School and the Children’s Community School. During her college years, Marissa has been involved with the Student Government Association, Student Ambassador Program, Student Theater Club, Musical Theater Club and two a cappella groups called Girls from the Hill, which she is the co-president, and Surround Sound. She has also volunteered for Big Brothers Big Sisters, Best Buddies, and a H.O.P.E. trip volunteer in Galveston, Texas and this year in Lima, Peru. In addition, Marissa spent a semester studying and interning abroad in Florence, Italy.
Her platform, Self-Esteem: Learning to
Love, focuses on promoting self-esteem in young girls to develop confidence in all aspects of life. Through education and interaction, Marissa hopes to inspire young girls to obtain their goals and dreams in a positive, healthy way.
